Overview:
This session will explore the roots of suicidal ideation among youth, how to approach these conversations with sensitivity, and the use of relational strategies to assess and respond to suicide risk. Participants will gain practical guidance for managing acute and long-term needs, building trust, and connecting patients with appropriate supports. The webinar features a panel of expert presenters, and attendees will have the chance to ask questions in real-time.

Address the spirit of suicide and suicidal ideation with patients in a culturally-safe, trauma informed way

Name and validate the impacts of colonialism on Indigenous and non-Indigenous youth experiencing suicidal ideation
